They tend to lag in their back halves when they’ve played all their cards, but have more levels to go. Even Astro Bot dips into that in its final world as it begins repeating power-ups and enemy types. It doesn’t have trouble keeping its double dips to a minimum, though. Whether I’m platforming up a singing tree’s branches, freeing a giant robot from its restraints, or busting through glass walls with my bulldog jetpack, I feel like I’m always discovering something new in almost every level. Astro Bot really is the video game equivalent of venturing through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory; a delightful concoction of experimentation and joy, just without the child endangerment.
@Darude84 I would say, regardless of age, if you have any interest in 3D platformers at all, I can’t recommend this highly enough. I’ve already got this installed and just waiting for tomorrow. Once you have unlocked Crash Bandicoot Special Bot and its unique cosmetic from the Gatcha Lab (Protective Spirit), find Crash at your Crash site. To unlock the Royally Stuck trophy you need to first collect The Prince Special Bot (aka Katamari Damacy) on Downsize Surprise world in the Tentacle System. The next step is to unlock the Rolling Star Gatcha Collectible from the Gatcha Lab. Look for Kratos Bot and Thor Bot near the bridge that leads to the Jungle Temple at your Crash Site (northwest of the crashed Mothership). Kratos Bot will hit Thor with his axe, freezing him into a cube!
Amazing game, would have been great to have had another Christmas level for this year. @Oram77 agree, definitely prefer this kind of level over the speed run levels lol that last level almost broke me. @Kienda Christmas NiGHTS was incredible and the first meaningful example of a game using the real world date and time I can remember. Nah, there are few other very good games on PS5 as well, but not too much, as with every system. I wish they did more actual levels like this rather then the speed run levels while they were enjoyable nothing can beat the free roam ones.

Dive back into supersized adventures with ASTRO and this limited-edition controller! It’s inspired by the playful design of ASTRO’s trusty Dual Speeder. The fun factor is unparalleled for a game of this genre, despite it’s obvious simplicity. The biggest thing to take away from the game is how well it uses the DualSense to its advantage. All these power-ups combined with the varied level design make for a game that never runs short of ideas, and it’s brilliant. While the protagonist may seem plain in design compared to a mustached plumber or chilidog eating hedgehog, Astro is memorable in his own rights.
